Bio:

Hello!! I'm Harriet and I'm currently studying a Law (honours) and Arts double degree at Monash Uni. I'm a big advocate for all the niche humanities subjects that people love to tell me have zero career prospects (evidenced by my major in Film Studies and minor in Gender Studies), so it should come as no surprise that my favourite subjects in school were Classical Studies and Literature. My other interests are equally obscure, including aerial gymnastics and Ancient Greece. I'm also concerningly invested in my Duolingo Spanish streak and love a good music festival! In Year 12, Literature was my best subject in school and I excelled in humanities subjects. However, I have mild dyslexia, so for a long time I struggled to read and write and was very behind in English, so I can definitely empathise with anyone struggling, and am here to tell you that you are not, in fact, doomed for academic failure (as I believed I was for many years). As a tutor, I aim to make VCE Literature more fun and less anxiety inducing, which is not to be underestimated (take it from me: my hands were shaking so much on the way to my Lit exam that I ran into someone's car trying to park)!
